Concrete Collection, explained
What it is
Collecting broken concrete, paving slabs, concrete shed panels, bases and rubble, and taking it away. Concrete is the waste most people can't move themselves: it's too heavy for a car and quickly overloads a trailer.
Who it's for
Homeowners after patio or path work, people who've broken up an old base, gardeners clearing hardstanding, builders with rubble from a job, and landlords dealing with old outbuildings.
When you need it
After you've broken up a patio or shed base. When an old concrete shed has come down. When rubble has been piled in the garden since the last project. Before landscaping or a new driveway.
Why use a professional
Concrete is heavy, sharp-edged and easy to hurt yourself with. A van and an experienced team make it one job. We're a registered waste carrier and insured with £1 million public liability and £5 million employers' liability cover.

If it's left
What happens when it's ignored
Concrete doesn't break down, blow away or get lighter. Left alone, it just stays in the way.
Common mistakes
- Overloading a car or trailer with concrete.
- Mixing concrete into a general skip and hitting weight limits.
- Leaving rubble on the lawn for months after a project.
It blocks the next job
Landscapers, driveway installers and builders need the rubble gone before they can start.
Injury and damage risk
Lifting heavy, jagged concrete is a common cause of back and hand injuries, and it can damage car boots and suspension.
It kills lawns and beds
Piles of rubble left on grass or borders smother whatever's underneath.
Skips may not suit
Concrete fills a skip's weight limit fast, and a skip on the road needs a permit.
Our process
Five steps from call to cleared
Step 1 – Call or send a photo
Ring 07487 639878 any day between 8am and 6pm, or send a few details and a photo of the concrete or rubble through the quote form. The clearer the photo, the faster we can price it.
Step 2 – Free quote or site visit
We give you a price based on the volume, the type of waste and the access. If it's easier to see it in person, we'll come out. Quotes and site visits are always free.
Step 3 – Agree a time
Pick a slot that suits you. Same-day pick-up is offered, and we work seven days a week, so weekends are fine.
Step 4 – We load and clear
Our team lifts and loads the concrete onto the van, from wherever it is on the property. We clear the area of loose debris before we leave.
Step 5 – Responsible disposal
We take the waste we collect to local recycling centres, so as much as possible gets reused or recycled rather than dumped. As a registered waste carrier (CBDU151433), we handle it legally.

In detail
Concrete collection in detail
Areas we cover for concrete collection
Plus the rest of east Dorset and surrounding areas.
What counts as concrete waste
Broken patio and path slabs, shed bases, concrete shed panels, fence posts set in concrete, hardcore and general rubble from building work.
Concrete sheds
If the shed is still standing, our Internal & External Demolition service covers dismantling concrete sheds and removing the panels in the same visit. Our team provides dust masks for shed work.
Residential and trade loads
Homeowners usually have a single load from a garden project. Builders and landscapers may have rubble from a site. We quote each job individually.
Combining with garden clearance
Concrete is often part of a bigger garden job. Add it to a Garden Clearance and we'll price everything together.
How to get the fastest, most accurate quote
- Send a photo or two. A clear photo of everything that needs to go is the quickest way for us to price concrete collection accurately. Take it from a distance so we can see the full amount, then a close-up of anything unusual.
- Tell us where it is. Upstairs, in a loft, at the back of a garden with side access only, or on the drive. Access affects how long the job takes, so the more we know, the more accurate the quote.
- Mention anything heavy or awkward. Concrete, appliances, large furniture and plasterboard all need planning. If something needs dismantling to get it out, let us know when you book.
- Separate what you're keeping. Put anything you want to keep in one room or mark it clearly. It saves time and avoids mistakes on the day.
- Flag anything you're unsure about. If you think a material might contain asbestos, say so. We don't remove asbestos, and if we suspect it on a job we'll stop and advise you to use a licensed specialist.
- Pick a time that suits you. We work 8am to 6pm, seven days a week, and same-day pick-up is offered. Early calls give us the best chance of fitting you in the same day.
Homes and businesses
We work for both domestic and commercial customers. For homeowners and tenants, concrete collection is usually a one-off job tied to a move, a project or a long-overdue clear-out. You want it done in one visit, without lifting anything yourself, and with the peace of mind that the waste is going somewhere legal.
For landlords, letting agents, shops, offices and trades, the priorities are timing and paperwork. Because we work seven days a week, we can often collect outside trading hours or between tenancies. As an Environment Agency registered waste carrier (CBDU151433), we give you a legitimate route for your waste, which protects you under your duty of care.
Either way, the process is the same: a free quote, a time that suits you, a team that does the loading, and waste taken to local recycling centres rather than dumped. Mo has run the business for 15 years with a team of three, and customers rate it 5/5 from 19 verified reviews on Bark.
